In the News About Olakira Camp:

“The short rains begin around early November. A little after this, in late November and December, the herds of the wildebeest migration arrive on the short-grass plains of the Serengeti. The grass here is sprouting, fresh and particularly nutritious thanks to the layers of phosphorous-rich volcanic ash which has been deposited here over millennia. These grasslands of the Southern Plains offer exceptional grazing - south and east of Seronera, around Ndutu and including the north side of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.”
